About Me

Hello and welcome from Mr. Hackel!

I hail from the mean streets of Kaukauna, WI. After graduating from Kaukauna High in 2013, I took my talents to The University of Wisconsin - Madison, graduating in the spring of 2017 with a double major in history and economics. Almost immediately afterward, I was fortunate enough to enter UW's Master's program in curriculum and instruction, graduating in summer 2018 along with attaining my teaching license.

From there, I spent a year at Menasha High School as an ELL (English language learners) teacher.

It is my great honor and privilege to now call Wisconsin Heights home! I instruct Social Studies 8, US History 10, Modern US History, Law in America, and Legislative Semester. I also serve as Heights' forensics club coach.

My hobbies include bowling, bass guitar, boxing, disc golf, video games, weightlifting, watching college football, shooting pool, chess, reading, and spending time with Jill and our Mini Goldendoodle, Annie!

Go Vanguards!

Jill and I enjoying the beautiful summer evening!
Annie, being adorable as always.
